Are You Ready For Website Management?

February 6, 2012

If you want to run your website on the internet then you will have to take care of it for each and every time. There are several types of website present where some have few pages and some have huge numbers of pages and it is very important to take care of all the pages very carefully. As per my experience main aspect of website management is links. If your website has perfect website design, color, fonts etc. but it carries broken links then you will lose traffic as well as visitor’s trust. There are several reasons of broken links like:

•Any changes in website structure or changing in domain name.

•Typing error by users.

•Page has been removed from website but still found in bookmarking or other sites.

It is very important to taking care of all these things, because link is only the source by which visitors can reach your website. So, to avoid broken link problem you need to check it manually, but suppose you have huge numbers of pages inside your website then using broken links checker tools will be best option for you. Suppose users do the typing error and get 404 error page then you need to redirect them to your home page or put some workable section on 404 pages so they can select one of them and stay on your website.
